Post your latest oil change

Totally agree. The 2.0 is not going to set any speed records, but this car is my work/commute car seeing about 80+ miles 5x a week of rural 2 lane roads. So for open rural driving it gets the job done, just not as fast as some.
Yeah, I didn't buy it for its speed. I bought it cause it was on the cheaper side and supposedly the highest mpg of the models. That second part turned out to be false. It doesn't get great mileage. My 18 Legacy Sport gets about the same or better.

Only 1445 miles on the oil. Wanted to get the dealer oil out since I'm probably keeping the car now, unlike what I was thinking 2 months ago when I posted this thread. Looking down the barrel of the bill of having twins in daycare next year will do that.

Mine is actually fairly good on gas, but on the rural two-lanes 55 mph is the norm, so that makes a difference.

Yesterday while at late dad’s estate. 02’ Dakota, bit low on stick.

Out: some HPL 5w-30 HDEO CK-4

In: vintage gallon Mobil Delvac 15w40. Left the extended guard vintage ph 16 size on.

HPL is either cleansing for oil consumption or I dunno. If it continues I’ll stick with my vintage stash. Found another 12 gallonsRotella from 2007 in upstairs of dad’s garage too. That followed me home.

Two OCIs:
2019 Subaru Ascent, 30K
Out - Subaru filter, M1 ESP 0W-30
In- Fram TG7317, Castrol Edge EP 0W-20, new Mercedes-approved version. Filter is “old” Fram design, not the E-core.

2019 Lexus RXh, 151K
Out - M1 5W-30, Fram CH9972
In - M1 Hybrid 0W-20, Toyota filter

Yes, going back to thin. The RX isn’t driven as much so it’s back to 0W-20. The Ascent also doesn’t get driven much by the neighbor, it’s her roadtrip and family hauler(she bought a RAV4 Hybrid for around town). While we know Subaru’s FA24F loves to shear oil, any “thin” oil with a BMW/Mercedes/Audi approval tested in a stressed out 1.4-2.0L TGDI I4 might have a fighting chance.

The first oil change was done by CARMAX at 3,400 miles, so I have no knowledge of anything other than they gave me sheet showing the oil and filter change. I really wasn't expecting this much debris on the filter-at all. Hopefully I can get all the chunks out of it and it isn't something really bad.
That Jeep should still be under a factory warranty, no? I would take that info to a nearby dealer.

Out-Whatever CARMAX used when they serviced it at 3,400 miles and lots of sparkles. Filter appeared to be the same as sold by O'Reiley's Auto Parts

Yes it is. I don’t think they would have much to say other than “don’t worry about it” like they previously told me concerning fuel dilution in my RAM EcoDiesel. Maybe the dealers are a little more receptive to customer concerns where you are.

'23 CT4V Blackwing was due, according to the OLM. 11 months and 4,000mi on this run. Odometer just hit 18,000mi this morning. Relocating to Oregon next week for a new job, so this thing is ready to eat some highway miles.

Pennzoil Platinum Euro 0W-40 & AC Delco UPF63R out.

2010 VW Passat, 2.0 CCTA, 162,500 miles

Oil:
Out-Valvoline Maxlife HM 10W-40 (red bottle) via extraction
In-Same
Filter:
Out/In-Mann W719/45 (did not change)

Still haven't finished fixing the final couple of leaky seals, so just kept using the Maxlife. But, it has leaked ZERO since the last change about 2500 miles ago, so why use anything else for now. Decided to cut oil change in half of regular 5K because of a little consumption, but kept filter in place until full 5K point.

Took not enough time to enjoy either a beer or a cigar, sorry 😐. Next time.
