My car was in the shop for two weeks and I got to drive a 2010 G6.
2.4 liter drove like a 6.
Was quite surprised at the mileage I got,31 MPG.
Great performance for a 4 cylinder.
Quite impressed.

Any owner reported headaches?

I am considering trading up if I get the right deal.

Don't think they made the 2010 Pontiac G6. You are probably looking at a 2009. You should get a great deal. Comes with 5yr/100k powertrain warranty.

SIL has a G6 not sure on the year a 7 or 8 i think and she loves it!,great mileage nothing major to speak of.

I'd also check how much less mpg you get with the v6 before you go with the 4 cyl. modern v6 are not as bad they used to be.

They did indeed make a 2010 Pontiac G6.

They couldn't have made many! 3?

Did the '10 get the updates with the interior that looked like the Aura and the more aggressive front styling that looked like the coupe? I have never seen one in person.

On the highway, I'd agree. If one primarily does around-town driving, the 4 will do a bit better.

A couple of years ago I had a Malibu rental. Out of habit, I popped the hood to see what was under there and was surprised to see it was the 4 since it drove like my v-6. 4's have come a long way.

Yep...

They made 2009.5's for G6.

It's a good car, just feels cheap. I replaced the ISS, coolant tank + cap. Tires regardless of how many times I balance them cause wobble(checked suspension and steering which are all fine). My 07 head unit didn't have an aux port, so I swapped an 08 head unit in which was working but now the CD drive won't accept disc's.

Reading the G6 forums there are quite a bit of issues with the 4 speed auto and electrical(knock on wood, no issues). Given I had only a few issues, the cheap/plasticy feel is what bothers me for longevity. Other than that the car is great for fuel and long trips.

My 18 y.o. son has an '09 sedan with the OHV 3.5, and it has been excellent so far. He loves it!

I am about to do his first oil change (he bought it very low miles, pre-owned) with Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 and an Amsoil EaO 64 filter (it's convenient that my car can use the same size filter

).

The '10 model was fleet only.

I have two '06's-one 3.5 V6 and one 2.4 4cyl.

The V6 smokes the 4 cyl on hwy mileage 32.5 to 29.2.

And my local GM dealer has a whole lot filled full of them with 8,000 miles on each one.
