This was on a Dodge. "fight socialism, buy a Ford." Btw, im new to this country so forgive me if its simple to figure out. Thanks

probably relates to FoMoCo's not getting gov't loans a year back. Ironic about the Dodge of course.

it is referring to ford not having to be bailed out by the federal government,as other automakers were.
a fact that led to increased sales for ford.

Big +1 on that. They would have emerged from bankruptcy a lean mean company.

And I don't think they'd be bringing Opel's to Australia to compete against Holden if they were more switched on/lean/mean.

That's OK, I saw a "Motorcraft Racing" sticker on a Dodge last week.

I figure the guy probably bought it before the bail out, had been a loyal dodge customer but has decided that he will never buy one again. It would be financially impractical to sell the Dodge, but he still wants to distance himself from the company and show that he is not a fan of the bailout. The sticker is the answer.

That's what I was thinking. Could be this Dodge is giving the guy problems.....it happens....and this was his way of fighting back.
I have always been a Ford man but my wife bought her first and last Ford in 2008.

I can identify with that.

I've genuinely liked all my Chrysler products. But Chrysler was [fastened with a cylindrical metal rod with helical threads] by almost 2 decades of poor management. I'm actually more upset with GM. They weren't under the bad leadership of der Deutsch uber-carmaker who proved that the Germans do very well managing themselves but not so much on car makers outside of Germany. (or the Home Depot guy...or any of the other inept CEOs Chrysler had)

Hmmm...I wonder why your logic only applies to Ford. Couldn't we add to that list a few foreign assemblers here in the States using that reasoning?

Oh...if I had a nickel for every one of those.....I'd have a really big bag of nickels.

I have a client that has Nissan GT-R badges on his 3-series....and this is not some ragged out E30. This is on a late E46. '04 IIRC.

Another has a MUGEN banner across the top of the windshield on his fwd 200SX SE

And one more has all sorts of Dale Earnhardt livery, including the giant "3" on the door of his Dodge Intrepid.

Because of the logic of this bumper sticker. I can apply this logic to any auto assembly plants in the US with foreign ownership as well.

There are some people who buy certain brands and then complain about them for the rest of their lives. Some are here on this forum.
