I think the dead board I pulled my P4 HT plus a Gig of GEIL DDR-400 out of then dumpstered was an MSI. It wasnt that old at the time either. Junk.

Ive only noticed lately the onboard solutions and coming with their own VRAM. Then only some, so I dont know about that.

BRIGHT red with leaking caps, horrible slot colours and possibly a dead NB heatsink? That'd be MSI

LOL!

Is this true for almost all pc's?

It is entirely dependant upon the application. I've built numerous Core i3 systems recently with integrated graphics and for general use, they are just as good as a decent stand-alone card.

As some have suggested, with your modding personality, you should have built a pc from scratch.

As for overclocking the HP, you can do it, but you probably will not be able to do it through the BIOS like it should be done. So, you need to use a software like NVidia's Performance software or something similar to OC the PC as well as the GPU.

Again, be aware that without access to the voltage adjustment, your computer OC will be minimal, though you may be able to OC the gPU quite a bit depending.

i often replace the stripped bios with the original used on the retail version of the board.takes a bit of research to figure out what to use and there is a bit of risk if you have a flash failure.i just pull the flash and read it with my programmer.i can always go back to stock.might impact windows activation though.
its easy enough to slip that back into your new bios though.
i dont care as i never use the factory load on a hp,compaq, dell, ect.
lots of bundled trial [censored] to remove.
