If you leave out the latter part of your statement then you are correct i.e. I would guess high fuel with DI is normal.

Are you getting the expected fuel mileage?
How long did you drive (time) before taking your oil sample?
Did you change the oil?

Fuel mileage is 27-29mpg on the highway at 65mph so I can't complain.

I drove the car for 5-10 minutes to bring it to operating temperature.

You bet I changed it. Now running PP 5W30---On GM DEXOS approved list

What would I look for to find a "thicker" 5W30 thats Dexos approved? Looking at Syngard 5W30 and CAM2 5W30 seeing they have Dexos approval. I'm starting to think that the fuel is normal on most DI engines after the last week of reading. Also read that GM maybe changing the oil life monitor to reduce time allowed on it to compensate for the gas in the oil. For this reason I'll be looking for cheaper dexos oil that's still good and changing a little more frequently.

IMO, look at the PDS for each of the Dexos approved oils, and choose the oil with the highest HTHS value.

As a starting point I am using the recently released Petro Canada 5W30 (dexos1 and Honda HTO-06 certified) in my GM 3.6L DI Traverse.

https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/posts/2211912/

Its HTHS is 3.2. (By comparison the HTHS of the ubiquitous M1 5W30 is 3.1)

Thats good to know, The Petro Can oil was exacly what I was considering! Price is really good too, better than PP an QS Ulitmate.

Where did you get the HTHS of 3.2 for the oil? Don't see that on the spec sheet. Did you calculate it out?

Thanks for everything!
