Now come on. That's a silly comment. Every engine and every maintenance routine is different...Remember, he used LC20 for 90k miles with M1. I don't think anyone argues the efficacy of M1 and LC20 in a combo to keep an engine purdy.

I hope you're not assuming every engine looks like that. Designs are different from engine to engine and some seem more prone than other to form deposits. This form of the Mazda F seems fairly sedate. I had a Mazda F in my 94 Probe and never had an oil worry...

The electrical was another story....
 
I never assume anything...buts its not a silly comment either. He ran GTX for 30k miles BTW. My tone, if you could have heard it, was a bit on the wise guy side though.

Good, consistant and routine maintenence using *about* any oil will yeild the same results. Thats my experiance in my own engines, and all I take care of.

My point is just every engine is different. Today's oils are certainly great and I'm not one of those people that has a GTX complex....
