That's a stunning shot ... and that had to be taken with the DSLR. Tripod or not, I can't get those shots out of a SD850.

Which bridge?

I think he's talking about your Bixby Bridge picture. I drove over it twice last week.

I don't know if there are any sushi fans, but I thought I'd share.

Why not, you don't need an expensive camera to take great shots, if you know the shortcommings of a regular point, and shoot and stay away from lighting conditions that "confuse" these cameras, you will get some pretty good results on the auto settings and even without post processing. Just keep shooting and play with different settings, that's the only way to learn.

Biggest Myth of Photography: Expensive camera is needed to make nice photos.

Fact: Any camera of the modern era (within the last 5 years) is all you need. It is about the man, not the tools.

Just quoting myself as this image seems to apply to the most recent conversions.

SO true! For those with interest in composing better shots, a link with MANY articles that might be a source of quality information for y'all:

I too am a sushi fan, and those pics are quality - albeit somewhat hunger-inducing...HA!

The following was taken with a "lousy" point-and-shoot...Belgrade:
