nah not really .. it's a wash more or less but the Pentius is by far a superior deal when you buy a case.

Just cut a used Pentius the other day.

The oil in/on the filter looks relatively clean, IMO.
I think there is a commonality of same tooling being used by different oil filter companies in China also and not just that many filters are made in the same factories.
It's possible if whoever makes the manufacturing equipment is selling it to lots of different factories. I'd like to know how many different factories there are, and which filters they make. Probably impossible to get the details of that.

I was thinking same or similar. Maybe the center tubes and face plates are all mass produced in one factory that does only that. Then perhaps Pentius, Premium Guard, Highline Warren buy those components to be used in their filters they make in their own factories.
Or maybe they're all using the same tooling, but each in their own factories.
Unfortunately Amazon is on to us…..
After this thread I am staying away from the Pentius anyway. Sticking with the PG build suppliers. I think Pentius is similar but different supply chain than the PG brands - didn't we decide so elsewhere?
Either way the T's have taken affect on Chinese stuff. Some as high as 50% is my understanding. It had been on hold for some time.
Got a case of these recently and took a look inside. Not good...a bunch of the perforations were not completely knocked out of the center tube. I was able to dislodge them easily using a pencil, I would assume oil flow would have dislodged them as well.
Yeah, Amazon the last few years on average has not been a price leader on oil filters. There dynamic pricing and mix of third party sellers has skewed the landscape.

Amazon does indeed have dynamic pricing. At $77/case, I suspect the price will drop in the near future, when nobody buys them.
