I had an oil consumption problem with my newly purchased (2.5 yrs ago) Dodge Grand Caravan (3.8L V6),
Oil usage was about 3/4ths qts./1200 miles using Havoline and Motorcraft.
Switched to Pennz Platinum, usage dropped to 1/2 qt./3000miles.
Decided to try Castrol Syntech, full synthetic to see if there was any difference.
Usage with Castrol Syntech was 3/4ths qt/1300 miles.
I will be switching back to Pennzoil Platinum. Unoffical test, I know, but it certainly says something positive about PP.
