Peak Oil Date

Maybe ten years ago the climate warming experts stated that without a doubt, peak oil had already been reached and we would have nothing but pain regarding future oil prices and that everyone had better start driving electric cars and installing solar panels on their roofs.

Those experts have a hard time figuring out what yesterday's temperatures were in their efforts to "prove" global warming. If the data doesn't support their theory, they make "adjustments" to the data based on their own expert (ha!) judgment.

I don't place much weight on their predictions

Folks like you use discredited old sources to argue against what is true today. Peak oil was never championed by real science within the last 25 years. Believe it or not we have learned a lot since 80's. Consider updating your sources.
