Hey Everyone,

I went over to the local Advanced Auto the other night and over heard two younger gentlemen talking about the valvoline nextgen oil. They said it's junk and you might as well only run it half the mileage because it's recycled garbage. The clerk at the store agree, and it just made me laugh a little bit.

OTOH, I was in an AZ couple of days ago to pick up a jug of Synpower and filter, and the clerk talked up the Nexgen if I was going to use a 'conventional' oil. Go figure.

I think properly recycled oil with good quality detergent at a slightly lower price is a great idea, but the name is what seems like a silly ploy to me...NexGen=nonsense.

Why not find a more suitable name than that.

In another day, in the late 60s, we added jet engine synthetic oil to our group support eninges that had 30wgt oil in them all the time, never blew one up, so go figure, if its slippery and its oily, how do u argue with that. so nex this and nex that, it will work.

The guys must have been buddies with the guy working the counter. The way that they were talking it seemed like it. All the race car talk n' such. I just got my syn-power bosch filter deal and got outta there haha.
