How I drive is not relevant when you started on how you drive. Don't try and change the subject matter because I called you out for what you are. I person who thinks their vehicle determines a pecking order on the road.

You know fully well people don't expect you to kill yourself for them. What I am saying is if I small input prevents someone from dying is it not worth the action? Instead of running them over quite literally you instead take out the front end. That is what I am saying, do the human thing.

I am not advocating you wreck truck & trailer for them just minimizing the damage as much as possible. You know you are not putting you passenger in danger by the fact that you advocate being somewhat invincible to cars of lesser weight.

Basically trying for the better outcome in the situations you can control, not the idiot shooting across 4 lanes of traffic.

Totally off topic: on the way home today, driving in he right lane, had Mr Camaro cut in front of me, I'd say with about three feet to spare, as he needed this exit now. Happens often enough, I know how to brake, and how my car handles. No biggie.

Except I was in my truck.

I hit the brakes hard to lock up a wheel (or two), as I quickly realized the vehicle wasn't reacting as it normally does when i left off the gas. No accident, but that is the last time I drive 293 with the truck, have to drive that section of road aggressively enough to be in the left lane.

I doubt Mr Camaro cared about how close I got either.

It is my duty to operate it safely and try not to flatten the idiots who cut me off, brake suddenly for no reason, or veer into my lane unexpectedly.

But I will not kill myself to miss them. As far as stopping, these babies can really stop. Especially in the rain!

BTW, about 60-70k miles per year for decades, no accidents in over 10 years to date. I try hard every day to be a nice guy, but the dorks do make it hard...

SteveSRT8 - BRAVO thanks for being the professional driver that you are! I respect all of the professional drivers and I always let them in when 6,000 cars are blowing past not letting you make an important lane change, etc. I can't imagine the frustration you must go nuts dealing with the driving public!

Come on! It's a 2010 Tundra, not a 1960s dump truck.

My vw does better in all but acceleration. I've yet to make the tires howl in that car, with stock tires, in any turn. The truck, I did that on the test drive, and learned it ain't no car. I drive it accordingly.

Thanks for the kudos. It's generally a thankless job. Just this week a young girl passed me then pulled directly in front of me and turned right so aggressively that her right rear wheel was OFF THE GROUND! It was totally idiotic, as there was a sidewalk with pedestrians and all...
