couldnt make a U turn properly and smashed into my car. He broke my brand new tails lights, bent my bumper, knocked off a body panel and smushed my quarter panel. I live in a court. No speak English. Dialed 911 and they wanted me to see if he was ok.

No California Driver License, Shady looking insurance-Topa Insurance out of Los Angeles. Called it and it is a home recording on the line saying they are not open. Called my insurance Farmers but unfortunately there is nothing they can do since I have one way. Nice way to wake up at 5am huh? Heard a loud bang and my car alarm go off. This guy worked for the San Francisco Examiner. Tried looking them up online but there is no number to call for non news related stuff.

Insurance is shady? BC of the name? Look them up on the state insurance regulation website, I bet they're AA rated.

Bad news is if paperboy-man doesn't have specific "I work with my car for a job" insurance, they might not pay.

As far as delivering while you're asleep... that's sort of the point of a morning paper. To have with your

Yup same non sense. This [censored] is going on in San Francisco. Called a "Sanctuary city" for all illegals- mostly from Latin America. They do not arrest illegals in SF and even publicly stated that. The other thing is that they pay homeless people $700 a month cash and advertise they welcome all the trash to come to SF. [censored] we dont deport for violent crimes committed by illegals.

Luckily I dont live in SF.

He hit my Mercedes.

Call your insurance company - do not call his/theirs....

Your insurance company should be able to "duke it out" with his insurance company......

Then they'll walk you through what's next, as far as getting the damage evaluated, etc.....the air bags didn't blow did they? Under most circumstances, if they do, they will deem the car a total loss....since the air bags themselves are like six grand....supposidely.

P.S. I hope you called your insurance company already...?

I called my own insurance-Farmers before making this post dude =). They said since I only have one way insurance I have to contact the other party myself. Sometimes it really sucks driving old cars. Though mine was original until now.

Not in a sanctuary city! It's business as usual. Happens all the time.

The article in Boston was in respone to an non-citizen( I am being PC;)) who resided in Boston who was driving without a liscence, no insurance, unregistered car, no inspection sticker, and got caught speeding. the mayor, Menino didnt like it when the result was they had to process and deport since he took the Fed money for the "Secure Communities Program" which mandates they look for illegals. I guess now they wont participate LOL
To Mumbles( his nick name since he sounds like a drunken bum with slurred speach when interviewed) I guess when someone rams into you and puts you in a hospital it isnt a serious crime, especially if their a non-citizen.

Oh sorry misread. I am still barely awake. Im sure if an American did it we d be given the royal treatment. Collared, frisked, and locked up with 3 hots and a cot.

El Predicto says the guy doesnt have insurance

Now if it was you or I driving with no liscence, the cops would be halling us off to the pokey, and are cars would be towed to the impound lot.

You're hosed from your own insurer if you can't find out more information on this guy. If you had it, comprehensive insurance would take care of that crash since it doesn't fall under you damaging somebody else's stuff (liability) or you running into somebody else (collision).

That is under insured which covers bodily injury and not property damage.

I think this company called Topa Insurance out of Los Angeles is a scam. I call them to file a claim and then they tell me to call someone else in a very rude manner. This new place is called Robert Moreno Insurance services out of Fullerton, CA and no one answers the phones there!!!!

Finally got someone at SF Examiner newspaper to give me a number of someone in charge, but like others have said....his response was "he dont work for us", outside contractor. Oh like that is gonna excuse them from liability. I am gonna get them to pay one way or another.

Just google Topa insurance and scam. Looks like they are barely a legitimate insurance company but you will probably have to fight tooth and nail to get anything out of them.
