I added 2 pumps of grease each to the Moog tie rod ends on my Accord about a month ago during an oil change. I looked today and noticed there was grease oozing out and covering the boots. I believe the boots are designed to have the new grease push out old grease/contaminants

I just hope nothing is damaged.

If a boot has a wire band on the bottom or is pooched out and looks like it's pregnant and is going to pop, it's sealed. These are typical with a lot of ball joints.
If you grease it and the grease comes out of the boot effortlessly, it is not sealed and it won't hurt to over grease them.
