FWIW, my FIL had a football size mass (yes football, and he didnt have a gut - it just compressed everything else) on his kidley last summer, got it out and is A-OK now. These seem to be no big thing...

I had a double-hernia operation a couple of months ago, glad to get it over with actually. I feel much better now.

Well, I had my surgery on Monday and was released from the hospital today, Thursday, June 10. Any time they cut open the abdomen it is not a pleasant experience, but as they say, time heals all wounds, and this one is no different. Full recovery should be somewhere around 6 to 8 weeks.
The surgery was a complete success and the mass and adrenal gland that was removed from my right kidney was benign. One of the blessings of having this surgery is the possibility that I no longer have type II diabetes. My sugar levels are lower than they have ever been and they have taken me off of all my diabetic medication for now until further testing is done.
So, good news from this end and I cannot begin to tell you how much your thoughts and prayers meant to Donna and I.

Good to hear you are doing well! I had a double hernia repair a few months ago so I feel your pain.

Any surgery is scary that's for sure glad your ok and back on the key board J.
