The day I buy a new vehicle is the day I buy a case of Wix filters for it.

Amsoil EAO and change it every 20K miles. It's great filtration, less mess and better protection at a cheaper price when you work out the cost per mile!

I didn't phrase my ? properly! Is there one filter that will work on all three cars as the 99&95 take a Wix 51334 and the 07 uses a Wix 51356 I would like to buy one filter # to work on all 3 cars! So i don't have to buy 2 different filters!

The 07 gets 15,000 a year, the 99 gets 10,000 and the 95 i just bought a month ago, will see 10-15,000 a year.

Looking at the spec sheet, it looks like both filters have the same thread. I've found that filters that have the same thread pitch have o-rings that are nearly the same as well but you might want to compare just to be sure. I looked at the fleetguard page and one has about a 7 psi bpv and the other a 14 bpv. You'd have to check the wix figures but I would think that you could probably use either on all vehicles. I don't really feel bpv settings are that important if your engine has a bpv already built into it. Looks like then you'll just have to check if you could use just one atf for all three and one grade engine oil.

The 51356 is smaller overall, but appears to be a finer filter. It has a smaller diameter, so it will fit on all applications ..but the 51334 may not. I don't know the specifics of each car in terms of room. Gaskets identical ..bypass identical ..in Wix anyway.

The 1334 and 1356 should be interchangeable. According to Wix's specs, the 1356 has slightly better filtration (i.e. beta ratios) so that's what I would choose for all 3 of your Hondas. My '95 Integra recommends the 1334 and I've used a 1356 with no problem.

Thank You sdan27! " Looks like then you'll just have to check if you could use just one atf for all three and one grade engine oil." That would be my ultimate goal! :) Now if they would only make that 5w25 motor oil i have been waiting for! Now for the transmission i am really torn!

I was leaning towards the 1356 as i have both filters in hand. Could you please expand on the beta ratios?
Thank You

For the 51334 the beta ratio is 2/20=22/40. The 2 and the 20 are your percentages. Divide each into 100 ( 100/2=50 and 100/20=5 ) and then you subtract those results from 100 ( 100-50=50 and 100-5=95 ) and then you change those into your % efficiency. 50% and 95%. That means the filter will get 50% of 22 micron particles and 95% of 40 micron particles. For the 51356 you got a beta ratio of 2/20=6/19. So you're getting 50% of 6 micron particles and 95% of 19 micron particles.

Why go through the pain and risk of using "one filter fits all". You're at the store anyway getting a filter ... why not just buy the right one for each car in the WIX brand.

Try the bigger one on the car calling for the smaller one. I found the larger PF 52 for my daughter's Beretta worked fine on my Grand AM in place of a PF 47.
