As much as I would like to say "go for the 10k", I agree with addyguy with respect to the DI engine. I think GM has done a good job dealing with fuel dilution on their DI engines, but why take chances? Go 6k and do an oil analysis to check fuel dilution, then if the results are good, go for it.
Since you have SynPower in your engine, you have already changed from factory fill. How many miles were on your 'nox when you changed?
