I purchased a complete Craftsman tool set from a neighbor (he needed money to get married). Almost all tools in the set never used. and I bought when I was ~ 14 years old. I'm now 87 and still use them and have added a few new ones. Ed

1950's era drill index from my Grandfather the WWII veteran submariner and retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer. It has a few more recent replacements, but I try to use it when I can, especially on the old boat.

Somewhere along the way, I stole this from my dads toolbox. Since it was in my dads box, I'm sure it belonged to my grandpa before that. Best that I can tell is it came from 1933-1938. I used them on the regular. It is the best adjustable wrench that I have. I also have a Crescent 12in which I'm assuming is from the same time period or about.

I have an off brand (cheap) 3/8 wrench that I used when I built boats for a living at Post Marine and Sieldleman sails. The wrench got a 3M 5200 sealant on it that remains to this day. It held up 30 years before all of it was off the face of the jaws. Shout out to 3M 5200. They are still my go to 3/8 and sealant.

My dad's 14" SK socket set. He found it at an auction in the early 1960's. I'm not seeing anything to help date the set but my guess is late 1950's early 1960's. I have Craftsman and SK 1/4's sets and the SK is my go-to.
