Aeroshell would be a poor choice. It is expensive, packaged only in quarts and most important, is almost straight mineral oil. The ashless dispsersant additive package is very minimal. It does not have a TBN rating at all, just a TAN spec to show that it is not acidic.
 
Years ago I used to drive truck , yes the Detroits use and leak oil. I remember adding a gallon per fillup which was around 400 miles. This was on a varity of 6,71 8,71 6,92 8,92 engines. The 92 series are nice engines to drive.
