Old Husqavana Mower

I was looking for a cheap push mower to do minor cleanup after I go through with the rider and happened to find one at a yard sale. I got an old Husquavana push mower that is in incredible shape. Looks fantastic, new plug, oil, and blade. It starts the second pull and sounds great. The only thing I don't know about it is the Spirit 3.75 HP engine. Anyone know anything about old Spirit engines and are they any good?

By the way, I paid $23 for the mower.

Are you sure it doesn't say sprint? Google only returns that.

Perhaps it is a "sprint" engine. I don't have the energy to go to the garage and check at this hour. Sprint or Spirit, whichever it may be, never heard of either one.

Just curious is all. $23 for a Husquavana mower in great shape, doesn't really matter what kind of engine it has I guess. My property takes about an hour to mow it using the rider. The push mower does about 5 minutes of cleanup work for the tight spaces. Any pusher would work, I'm just happy I was able to get such a good mower for that cheap. Gotta love yard sales.

True. You can find good stuff at yard sales.

That's a fine engine. Get yourself a spare carb kit. Sometimes the diaphragm wears out and you're stuck till you get another one.
