Oil up $25 a barrel!

Speculation at its' finest!!!! The bailout drives up the price of all because "the demand will be greater." So, the investors continue to scrap us raw. This is such B.S. it makes me want to puke.

Well, if oil is priced in dollars and dollars are in a freefall, it's logical that oil will rise.

Not nuts, just sad.

It's not hard to predict that if the government is going to borrow (spelled print) 700 BILLION that the dollar would be worth quite a bit less on that news.

I swear, the average small business owner would be more capable of running our frickin government than the total schmucks that run it into perpetuity (ie corporate executives...)

I owe ..I owe ..so it's off to work I go (insert whistle here)

I seriously have misgivings about this bailaout. I am more willing to suffer the finacial setbacks of the financial institutions falure than further devaluation of the dollar.

I am so [censored] about this bailout I have sent a strongly worded letter to my congresman and senator asking them to opposse it.. That ought to do it! .

Yep...This has nothing to do with supply and demand. Just the market running wild. We need regulation to clamp down on this B.S.

The regulatory agencies laxed all the rules. Now we will pay for the greed, lack of controls, and skullduggery.
And worse.
More government involvement.

Where is the uproar from the people? Don't we have a say in the spending of this enormous amount of money? This explains why way back when I had this sinking feeling that the financially responsible people will be forced to pay for the poor judgement of others. Next, they'll find a way to make me fund others' pensions because they didn't have the discipline to save for retirement!!

I think tpitcher said it best.

Slow down there, Kemosabe. Lot's of government workers here. Yes, there are some bad apples in the trees, but not all of us are of that way.

People can't make money at the moment shorting a bear market.

They've got to make their money somewhere, and oil's an easy target at the present.

It's too late for the uproar. The uproar needed to take place when the problem was festering. But everyone was too busy partying over successive bubbles and when the beer and joints are flowing, people don't think about the hangover. The hangover is here and it's too late to stop drinking.

Time to take our collective convoluted medicine. (yes, we're taking our medicine in the form of a bail out ..those who aren't taking their medicine are getting bailed out).

It's always funny ..that this "we" stuff only comes out in the burden to bear "for the good of the nation" ..but .....

Well, to keep myself sane, I just write it off as the cost of being a member of society. Human folly will never stop and a price will always have to be paid even by those not directly responsible. I have never lived beyond my means, have pretty sizable savings, which I hope to use to fund my daughter's future education. And these savings will be eroded by the inflationary policies needed to bail this country out. Unfair, yes. But at least I have some options. I feel really bad for the hourly workers and pay-check-to-paycheck types who also didn't party during the consumer orrgy. These people also won't party in the future.

Yes, VeeDub ..all costs are paid by producers. That includes the extended bills ..

I'm just hoping to squeak by without true hardship in my future. I was hoping to let up at this point and coast ..but my "just in time to get nothing" order in the baby boom just wouldn't allow that to occur.

Eh

What would I do with it anyway? Probably spend what I want when I wanted doing what I wanted when I wanted. Who needs that??
