Good Morning folks. Over 6 weeks ago I sent two virgin samples in to WIX lab in Atlanta GA. USPS shows they are still on route. Next time I’ll use my better judgement and mail them UPS. Anyone ever wait this long for a sample to be received?

Thank You

Call the USPS customer support and report the problem. I had an oil sample that got stuck in a loop getting sent back and forth from Columbus, OH to Indianapolis, IN. The person I talked to said she would take care of the problem and she did. It was delivered the next day.

I am DM'ing you a contact at ALS labs, they lost two of my samples, but it ended up being they couldnt read my email handwriting. They responded quickly with the reports.

I mail mine via USPS, in one of those light blue and white Amazon bubble bags.

They always arrive in 3 days. I'm disguising what is actually inside, LOL.

USPS is nowhere near the reputable delivery they once had even a few years ago. Not sure what happened but it's been a downhill slide. I constantly get things delivered to the wrong address and other peoples mail in my mailbox. It's very frustrating.

I have written off USPS due to dismal service. Stuff moving all over the country before being delivered. Last time priority mail took a week to be delivered.

I send into Polaris occasionally. I will NEVER send by USPS again. I have sent by USPS with a tracking number; it took 4-6 weeks to be delivered to Polaris in Indianapolis. UPS usually shows up there on the third day. FedEx is the best from here to Indy from where I live here in Nebraska. If I ship it out on let's say Monday, it is delivered Wednesday by 10:00 AM. FedEx is faster than UPS and a little cheaper. I have learned it is best to ship from the actual FedEx shipping offices in your area, not one of those we do everything shipping places.

My last sample via UPS sat in Providence RI for 13 days for no reason and didn't move until I filed a lost item claim. No idea why...

USPS probably hasn't turned a profit in decades. I'm actually surprised it's still around. Figured the government would have sub contracted it out years ago. I get other people's mail all the time, and who knows how much of my stuff was already lost. In NY, their still running those 1988 little delivery trucks. I spoke to a carrier one day about those trucks ( he was sitting in it sweating his behind off). Said USPS just keeps rebuilding them to keep them going. More wasted money.

People are short on staff at least since the pandemic 2020. I was dropping a package back in 2020 or early 2021 - the line was longer than before even during the day. The lady on the counter told me she works 10-12 hour shift because they cut people. That's at least for Chicago.
This year my vehicle plate/state sticker (prepaid online with a CC) got lost over the mail (USPS) and I don't know how is that even possible. Needed to go to the DMV to get a duplicate sticker. It cosy me a couple of hours.

Why would you think it's not possible ?

We recently dealt with a 'hiccup' with the USPS. We were traveling overseas and our daughter didn't have a passport so we went through the process for hers. The state department was impressively quick - less than 3 weeks from mailing it to them mailing it back. Problem is, the USPS damaged/smudged the address label's barcode so for 2-3 weeks the tracking only showed "Label created, waiting on item" or whatever they say. What happened slowly was a human being had to manually move/process the envelope from location to location and the fact that it took 2-3 weeks shows it was low priority and they got to it when they got to it.

I shipped out 2 samples several months ago which they lost. I stayed on them for weeks about it, but they were never found.
FedEx lost the crown for my tooth. I didn't find out until I showed up for the dentist appointment.
The dentist made another impression and I got rescheduled. When I arrived for that appointment I had two crowns to choose from.
FedEx had finally found the first one. 🙄
