Went fairly well other than the missing splash shield that never got reinstalled after a dealer service. I can see the inserts in the frame where it should have been but I guess that's another reason to get a skid plate for large amount of road debris we get in PA.

I tried getting a picture of the filter debris which there really wasn't much just a little grit. It was an OEM filter. I get the negative reasons for a composite oil pan, but I'll be darned if that quarter turn drain plug isn't a good idea.

Filled back up with HPL Euro 0w20 and a Fram Synthetic Endurance filter. Look out for a UOA soon.

I have an The 2.o in my Audi Q5 and do an oil change from the top. It truly gets out all of the oil and makes oil changes a snap.. Once you do it this way you wont go back to the old ways., you might want to give it a try.

We have a 2019 Tiguan and it DID NOT come with a splash shield. I was thrilled not having to deal with one. It’s a very easy oil change.

I thought about that a lot over the last 20 years of owning VWs. I will eventually...
