Nothing like rowing through the gears.

I have a 03 Mustang Mach 1 that sits in the winter time. Its not my daily driver either. So, when I pull it out of storage Im like a kid on Christmas morning. I love the sound, feel, and like the rest of you I like to row my own boat. I never get tired of it. I love a V8 with a deep throaty exhaust note with a man pedal.

I read somewhere that something like 7 percent of cars now a days are sold with manual transmissions. Thats it. Most Camaros and Mustangs have them but they I think are in the minority and lets not even mention that standard trans can not be had in most cars or trucks anyway. Its a crying shame its come to this.

Ya 2nd gear in the Forester is the 10mph-lots of trouble in 6 seconds, fun fun fun.

Always ready for a good thrashing and always ready to go. The main reason I will never own an automatic by choice.

I don't have to wait (actually I cannot wait, as this is the only ride I own, unlike most others on here) for a nice, sunny day to row through the gears.

I even enjoy doing this with (4) snow tires on it, as it NEVER gets old (nope, not even in 20 miles of stop and go traffic.)!!!

I've owned the E34 530i for four months and still haven't found a place where I can run it to red line in any except 1st and 2nd. I guess it just proves the saying it's better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

My 07 Corvette coupe has been sitting for two months and will sit for two more. But after that winter hibernation is over it's once again, my link to sanity. I absolutely love driving that car! It is a pure all American sports car. It has no other function than driving pleasure. Row the gears? Absolutely! All six of them and it only takes seconds to get to triple digits in just the first three. The transparent top and Head Up display gives you the feeling of being in a fighter jet. The factory NAV lets you set a course to your target and the turn-by-turn is displayed in the Head Up display. The Magnetic Selective Ride suspension keeps the wheels planted to the road while keeping the ride smooth. Spirited driving helps me unwind but on the highway it will cruise at 30mpg.

But for now I'm just detailing it in the garage...
