as per an email i recieved the other day from my DM walmart is not going to carry motorcraft any more. i don't know the reason why just stated that they won't sell to us anymore.

Good for ford/motorcraft... Wal Mart strongarms a bit too much for my tastes, and the last time I checked, wal-mart employees dont seem to be much better off for it, nor am I that much better off from their supposed "savings" that they provide. All it does is make the Waltons richer...

Walmart likes to dictate the price they will pay and if its anything like AC Delco, their retailers are probably complaining big time about being undercut. I heard they tried to get Asmoil but wanted to buy direct from the company and eliminate all middlemen + wanted price concessions over and above all other dealers. Amsoil declined to sell to them.

A person can't argue with the success of Walmart but sometimes they seem very shortsighted.

An FL1A costs $.72 more at Autozone than it does at Walmart. Similar pricing at Advance Auto. This isn't going to make me stop using Motorcraft filters, I just won't be buying them at Walmart...

Hey!! Good News then... Motorcraft oil will be on clearance at Wal-Mart

I will go tonite and check to see if they started to clearance it yet. Either way, if the price drops or not, Im going to buy enough for about 6-7 oil changes

The clerk at the Walmart I go to said that they ordered a boatload of Motorcraft filters as soon as they heard that they were going to stop carrying them. He said that they'll be on the shelves for a while after the filters get deleted off of the system.
