So i went to advance and got the PP and purolator boss oil filter special for $30. They only had 0w20 in single 1Q bottles. Once i get home i realize they dont have the dexos logo on them. Is tht gonna be a problem? The date codes are august 7 2015 and may 20 2015.

BTW: the boss oil filter is not very light.

Im just trying to make sure putting this oil in the car won't cause trouble because it dont have the dexos logo on the bottle. Even tho i kno it is dexos approved.

If you kno its approved put it in.

If I kne it was approved, I would be ok

see sig, no Dexos1 we are going to have a problema with these vaqueros. B5 and Dexos1 are my favs with the HTO-6 a close second infact a photo finish. I might have a beat on the B3 with dat high HTHS. you hear me?

The car can't read...what is it your worried about? I doubt the oem is going to send the engine to NCIS should a failure occur...esp since the oil is listed as dexos approved by the oil mfgr

^^^ agree. I suppose it has happened, but in over 4 decades of owning vehicles from personal on up thru commercial class 8 trucks, I have never even heard of a dealer asking what oil was in the engine. I suppose if they thought the owner was some sort of rube who didn't know what he was doing they might. I even lost a cam on a 2006 Cummins ISX and no one even asked what oil I was using. From the condition of the cam, it was metallurgy and not oil related anyway.

It will be fine. I got the same deal yesterday plus I had a $5 Speed Perks coupon. So $24.99+tax for 5 quarts of Platinum & a Purolator BOSS is a pretty awesome deal.

I got the BOSS in the size for my Fiesta. That's a small oil filter & the BOSS is very very heavy, I agree. I can't wait to see one cut open after usage. I wish Puro would release the effeciency ratings though. "99% dirt removal power" doesn't cut it for me... Lol is that at 20 microns or????
