Once you get to the playoffs anything can happen.
Look at what Philly did last year..
What I'm afraid is going to happen is the refs are going to be flag happy and make some mickey mouse call that really changes the outcome of a game.
NFL doesn't want good aggressive defense and good play turns into a flag.
I predict at least one game being ruined by the refs.
Anyway,go Cowboys!

Settle down. Dallas plays on the road from here on and we know how bad they are on the road. No way they win in NO...

Age old story, he got a bit injured and the replacement (rookie in this situation) got hot. It is tough for a coach to sit the hot hand in that situation. Probably better for job security to lose with the hot hand then to play the guy who may just give you a better chance.

I think people expect it to work a lot, but if you just play the odds, the success rate is about 80-90% for kickers so the odds of making two kicks in a row go down vs one kick so you're only expected to have a 10-20% success rate when icing a kicker.

Yeah but he still outscored the offense. With that defense giving that many short fields and you can only score one TD. Another strike a good defense beats a good offense. It is a team sport.

I think the kick got touched at the line and was off target some.
That's what the Sheagles are now saying.
I never put a lot into home field advantage.
Dallas trains in Cal and always have a good fan turnout on the road.
LA is not a football town with loyal fans.
Unless the Rams can get ahead early that place will become quiet.

You never put a lot into HFA? I think the teams that all will have to go through NO to get to the SB would disagree...

Do you even watch football? Anyone who does would never ask such a dumb question...

That is not unusual during the wildcard round. As this progresses the home team wins with more frequency.

Yeah, ask the teams that play the Saints in their Superdome and hear how loud it gets...

Just because you can't answer the question doesn't make it dumb.
Home field is over rated in most cases.
The best team that day will usually win.
There are only a few stadiums where it matters
Seattle
NE
NO-if Saints get the lead early-gets real quiet when losing

Statistically it's probably worth about 3 points as that's usually the spread between two evenly matched teams playing at home.

The offense is more complex than the defense so if they can't hear the call or get in sync due to noise, then that's the home field advantage.

A big one (though not so much this year) is weather...especially for an arena football team playing in bad weather.

Going from turf to grass (especially ratty, torn-up grass) also plays into it.

I'm talking specifically about Dal-LA game.
I don't see much HFA for Rams.
Cowboys train there each summer and have a huge fan base in S.Cal.
The weather is no concern.
The grass there is always in good shape.
Both teams have to deal with the same stuff.
It comes down to the players and plays.
And the sorry refs.

If you think Dallas is a better team than NO, you are looking at it through Dallas fan colored glasses...

Being better on paper won't get you any trophy.
Dallas was better than NO the night they played.
Doesn't mean they would win everytime.
I know you are a Redskin fan and haven't seen much good football in decades so you are forgiven.
Just pick a team and enjoy the playoffs
Go Cowboys
