New tool thread

Casoman 18 piece 10-24mm deep metric impact sockets with extensions and a blow mold case. $25 from Amazon. Taking a long trip this weekend to pickup another Kubota RTV in Arkansas and wanted an grab/go emergency set in case of tire issues. I cross shopped Hyper Tough, Pittsburgh and Casoman was still cheaper and included the extensions and the case.

Did something I said I would never do and bought another toolbox. The double bank bottom box I have had for 14 years, bought it used as a trade in deal. Never had a top chest for it. had the top chest to the right of the picture sitting on top of the double bank along with another similar box. The single bank bottom box on the right I bought used 22 years ago when I was a kid starting out, paid 300 bucks for it and the top chest off the snapon truck and thought at the time I would never fill it. The white box is essentially new, dealer sold a pair of them to a guy and reposessed them shortly after because the guy never made any payments. Drawer liners and lock cylinder were never installed and box does not appear to have ever had tools in it. Paid about half of retail. For everything pictured I have less than 5k invested in the last 22 years and these should last me the rest of my career.

I have that same top and bottom in some anniversary edition. Plenty of room in them.

Finally got the last shipment from a little while back. Apparently the Capri wrench got lost in Ohio for a while. It completes my long pattern DE box set which topped out at 17/19 before. Gland wrench was a want, not exactly a need, but have to cobble together three tools in the past, and seemed that I’d use it eventually. Not exactly the kind of thing I can run out and buy the day I need it.

Haven’t tried the shake and brake set yet. Finally a decent sized punch!

Zoro and Cripe. Some more stuff but mostly disposable finishing discs and tapers for the die grinders.
