New super tech 10k filter

Good question WellOiled. Without a second rating point, it's not possible to reasonably extrapolate. Minimum of 2 points to define a line, 3 to define a curve.

Maybe we'll get some data from the Batcave at some point.

I don't trust an Ecore for 10k, but I like the ides of Ultra air filters

I am not sure I would run 10K miles either. The filter baseplate runs hot. This engine is hard on oil. 3-6K in 3 months is very doable for PH820 and PF1250. The combo valve loses anti drain back function in about 2.5K running conventional or synthetic blend oils. Synthetics do better.

I’ll be waiting. Thanks.

Nothing on Fram's website showing an Ultra air filter line.

Yes..... Local Texas Walmarts still have PLENTY of Wix (super tech) left on the shelevs.

I haven't seen any dreaded E-core filters yet....

Nor would I EVER run an e-core to 10,000 miles!!!! NO NO NO NO NO......

10k? Well, they went up a bit but still got (6) XG10575 for $6.16 each tax included ~ free shipping

So? I didn't see the word "Ultra" on the box. Yeah, "XG" might signify an Ultra but unlil I see more info will have to question it for now.

I am happy for your Fram purchase...
but I was talking about e-core filters and never mentioned Fram once.

last i was at walmart they still had the wix made filters on clearance.

I'll have to check them out tomorrow or monday and see if the new ones are in yet.

the filter on the box looks e-core but the photo of the actual filter in the other thread was non-ecore.

i guess I'll know for sure when the new ones come in and i can pull them out and look at them

Champion Laboratories has the ecore design, boxes say Made in USA, hardly unknown.

Ok, but has anyone proven they are Champ filters yet? Has anyone traced a lot code? They could be Fram as well.

Same here, still plenty left. They also had a small selection of Shell Rotella filters (made by Purolator) on clearance as well.

So I see the words Ultra Air Filter clearly on Fram's web site for my application as XGA9401. I even used the Windows Snipping Tool yellow highlighter for those with issues with reading skills.

Burst commo with the Batcave indicates these are currently re-boxed TGA currently but there will be other changes later this Spring. The words "Stay Tuned" were used in true Der Fledermaus fashion!

It sure appeared in the OP's original post in this thread though, and in the drop-down competitor comparison.

Personally, I've never alluded to any BITOG member being a company rep other than Motorking who clearly advertises as such. But that doesn't preclude a member from a having a case of something

Not against the law to be a "fanboy" ... lots of those around here for various reasons.

You did notice they don't actually list the XGA Ultra for your RAM in the actual parts search results. Seems the Ultra reference in the "Competitor Comparison" table is just a place holder at this point, so who knows why someone found one on a store shelf (maybe early model release?) - LINK

Guess Fram figured it needs an Ultra air filter to match that Ultra oil filter. Wonder what the efficiency is?

Yep, I clearly noticed that but didn't see the relevance to this thread from the OP's first post onward.

My "reading between the lines" in commo with the Batcave is someone stopped the presses to early on printing TGA boxes, but the TGA will be supplanted by the "true" XGA in a few months, and TGA will be a thing of the past along with pre-oiled media. But I've had inaccurate commo from the Batcave before, specifically that Fram wouod have their own on-line store by the end of 2017, as a prime example.

Who said anything about laws Gollum? No laws against someone going around in public having a case of Fram Extra Hard.
