Finally got around to changing my spark plugs after buying them about a year ago.

They have a little over 137,000mi. on them.
Could be in my head, but the truck seems to idle a bit smoother.

I thought the originals looked pretty good.

what car/engine? how hard was it to get those puppies out? I got 77k/9 years on a/c delco plugs in my 96 sunfire so far.

1999 S10 ZR2 4.3L, it wasn't as bad as I thought from what I'd read on S10 sites. Many complained about the center plug that is blocked by the steering shaft, but I had "just" enough clearance for the socket, swivel, 3" ext, and a 6" ext. I also removed the wheels to get in there. Getting the wire boots loose was the worst part.

I'm hoping to change out the Dist. Cap, Rotor Button, and wires soon, but the wires look to be a serious pain to un-route/re-route.

I am sure you are actually feeling an improvement.
Those plugs gave you good service, but are well worn and past retirement age.
The new plugs are reducing misfires, and are actually situated deeper in the combustion chamber [where it actually fires].
Both are good things to have.

Those are "real" acdelco plugs, the new ones are made by NGK, just as good. Plugs look good considering miles.
