^+1 Yes , please read up on some of what Molkule and others have said before asking any questions would be great.

So I would steer away from those kinds of questions.

That doesn't matter because apparently some BITOGers know more about Pennzoil than Shell's formulators.

My main concern is for this new stuff to come out as soon as possible so that I can walk right past it and buy the old Pennzoil Platinum by the case cuz it is being cleared out on sale.

Then 2-3 years down the road when I deplete my stock of old PP, if the new Pennzoil Platinum is cheaper than QSUD or Motomaster Synthetic I will get it.

2nd. And if so,will it be available at Walmart via 5 quart jugs,so it will be competively priced. Non-cafe oils are only widely available at uber expensive parts chains to the tune of $9 a quart.

I can hardly wait to see what comes of this. I am a hard-core fan of SOPUS products, and run PP in my Dodge Charger.
I will support this stuff big time.

Interesting. Not that Noack is the end-all, but it's a little disappointing in that respect. The Platinum 5w/20 is worse than the PQIA Noack for PYB 5w/20 (could be lab differences I suppose). And the 8.6% for the new Platinum is pretty far away from Ultra's 5%. Been made a bit thinner at high temp than the old Platinum, too.

The specs on the 0W-20 look pretty disappointing to me. Think I will stick with Mobil 1, unless the Ultra is a lot better.

I wasn't impressed with PP 0W20 either. I'd like to see the Ultra as well.

My vehicles need thicker oil so im lookin forward to the 10w-30. I agree the others ecspecially the 0w-20 really look disappointing.

Lets all just try it and find out first hand instead of sitting here assuming its gonna blow us away or suck major donkey [explicit].

I find some of this funny. I read the info on the new GTL oil. Words like Pure Plus...and things like crystal-clear appearance. I find it funny because in 1997 PZ announced Pure Base. And showed that it was clear as water. Even used the some of the same wording: crystal-clear appearance. Now you'd think base oil couldn't be clear unless it's GTL. Not saying the old is just as good, just saying marketing cracks me up. Check out this 1997 tec.
