New mufflers

This is how it should be done. Found a local mom and pop muffler shop here in KCK, literally the 2 boys mom run the front. I've had a few mufflers done in my day but none look this professional. I should of took a pic of the job another guy did on my dad's Festiva about a year ago absolutely terrible! Granted it's just paint your seeing but I'm referring to the welds, hangars even has a drain hole. They cost a little bit more but has a 2 year rust out warranty. Anyone local wants their info PM me.

Yep, paint is a good rust preventative. Living in the north, I'm sure it's those salted roads that take a toll on the mufflers....I nor my 'rents have ever needed a muffler replacement (at least, not a mandatory one anyways...lol) down here in FL...
 
That's what I was thinking, it looks like cold galv zinc spray. We use that a lot where I work to patch small breaks that occur in hot dip galvanized coating. It works really well preventing rust as long as it doesn't get physically scratched.
 
Is that spray something that should be reapplied? Although I don't think I'll have any problems with those mufflers.
