New MotoMaster (Fram) 3600 cut open.

Popped into Canadian Tire for something else, and grabbed a Motomaster 3600 while I was there. I run this size filter on my Ranger, so that's why it was chosen.

What can be said? It's just a "Canadian Tire Red" painted Fram. I see no manufacturing defects. I counted 40 pleats.

Not bad. It could certainly use an orange drainback valve.

I will not run these personally!

Usually use either Motorcraft or Fram Tough Guard. Mostly Motorcraft. However, I suppose for a "house brand" they should work OK!

Yea good luck putting that thing back together and using it. Did you buy two so you can actually use one?

I've run identical filters on my vehicles, even if they had a different color paint on the outside. It made it through the life of the oil, got changed, and a similar one replaced it, all without incident.
After looking at filters like these, and the torn oil filters that have been taken off WITHOUT AN ENGINE FAILURE, it's important to remember that the oil is more important than the oil filter.

If I had a car that could use the PH3600 and wasn't picky with filters, I'd run the orange can without a doubt.
