I had not even heard a peep about this product, until I saw it on the shelves. Hope I'm not just totally missing the bus. . .

Anyway, I'll take a wild guess, and speculate that given the name, it's not exactly loaded up with ZDDP. Beyond that, I don't know. Comments?

EDIT: Oh by the way, I checked the Mobil website, and I don't see any mention of this product at all. It was also there in 10w30 flavor too.

I saw this new oil at my local PEP BOYS just yesterday cuz I'm getting ready for my Dodge Durangos OCI using Mobil 1 standard and not the "Extended" this time due to the price.

In addition I noticed on the back that it doesn't tell me wether it's compatable with Chrysler/GM/Ford so I don't know what's up with this product except for the fact that it is an emmission control type of oil.

Anyway until I read/hear more about this oil I'll pass and use what I know what works.

I'm glad to see that Mobil is getting more choices for their Mobil 1 line.

They certainly did not have enough...

Wonder how people ever got down the road with just one choice and a few weights just a few decades ago?

And those engines were harder on oil and the oil was worst than what we have today.

The best thing that happened to engines was FI and Unleaded fuel IMO.

Amazing to see all the flavors of oils.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread. But I am curious about this product. How does it compare to GC? I would like to hear some feedback from people who have used this oil.

If you have a car that requires ACEA A3/B4/C3 (see my signature, the X5 35d) and BMW LL04, it will preserve one's warranty and also the oxy-cat, urea-cat and DPF.
If you don't have a vehicle that requires A3/B4/C3, I wouldn't use it.

Yet again, this is an oil for diesels with particulate filters. It carries OEM specifications that the OEMs themselves say you should not use in a gasoline car where the gasoline contains ethanol. It can't be counted on for any more than a few thousand miles in such an engine.

GC, on the other hand, can.

Gotcha. I'll stick with GC then.
