Need to pass inspection - reset light after repairs or let the car figure it out?

I did not clear the code - I'm in Missouri. But I was afraid that if I cleared, it would take too long for the catalyst monitor to be ready.

Old purge valve was not sealing when unplugged. New one was. So it seems like that was bad.

I also replaced an ABS speed sensor that was throwing a code, but Forscan is still showing erratic speed values that flip to 255 after a few seconds. Seems like an open in the wiring is a possibility. Or a bad abs module. Or my NEW part Never Ever Worked...

As an update: I picked up the car again today to take another crack at it.

I replaced the wheel bearing on the driver's front. It turned out the tone ring was about half rusted away. The new bearing ($50 for a Shaeffler from RA!) fixed the abs.

I cleared the evap code check engine light and I guess I'll drive it around until it comes back or says it's ready.

One little wrinkle: as I was driving the car to my place, the AC wasn't working and it started smoking at a red light. Looks like the compressor is seized. Yuck! Too many problems for a car with barely over 100k miles (rollback??)
