I will be replacing my rotors pads this weekend(fronts and possibly rears to just get them done).

Looking at the Napa brand rotors, how are they? more resistant to rotor warp/flexing? I have access to Autozone, Pepboys, Napa and of course OEM which is junk.

Typically I go with Bendix Ceramic pads, anything better out there?

Im happy wit Napa premium rotors and bendix ceramic. Get the CT-3 if you can.

Id try to find US made rotors, but it can be tough...

Be careful of the cheap brands. I bought a set of those(China junk) and had to replace them 14 months later. Hard spots in the rotor surfice. Went with Wagner rotors and pads.

Wow Napa pads for front and rear along will run me $180 bucks. On their website. Hmm.

Called up Napa and the Ultra Premiums are $72 a piece, so 144 for rotors and 83.53 for pads.

Bit pricey.

With the premiums do I have to remove the finish with a grinder?

The napa rotors seem to be Raybestos just by looking at them. Am I off on that assumption?

I needed rotors and pads for our old Citation. When I saw the thread below, I picked up some Thermo Quiet Ceramic Wagner pads and stock rotors at Oreileys. It's only been a few days, but they work very well so far. Stopping performance is amazing compared to the old setup.

Price after the rebate will be $27 for the pads.

I've had excellent results with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors (their premium rotor). I use them with Raybestos Advanced Technology pads on my SUV - excellent all around performance and almost dust free. I also bleed my brakes every 2-3 yrs (DOT4).

I called up my buddy and he will be ordering up the rotors for me as he gets a mechanic discount. The pads he recommended were the Bendix ceramic or the Monroe ceramics(can't remember the name). But he highly recommended them as he has been using them on his 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP(V8). He hasn't had any issues with them nor have any of his customers. They run about the same price as the Bendix pads, bout $48/50.

I have used Hawk HPS pads with Brembo rotors with good results. 20k miles to date with no warping. Amazon has the Hawk pads. I don't remember where I purchased the brembo rotors. FWIW-- Oldtommy

most muffler shops will turn rotors for you for about 5-10 bucks a rotor.

rotors dont really warp, the pulsing is usually due to pad deposits on the rotor face.

replacing "warped" rotors is a waste of money unless they're too thin to be turned safely or they're actually cracked.

You might want to look into rockauto and buy online. They have Raybestos, Bendix, Monroe, etc. and the prices are really good.

At this point, I favor cheap plain rotors. [internal vents are OK and good]
Because we can have problems with name brand expensive ones just as much, nowadays.
Many cheap rotors are warrantied.
But get good pads for sure. and clean and lube the calipers real nice.

Careful, as many cheap priced rotors are made with thinner metal on both sides and a larger air space in the middle to save costs- one must Weigh a new OEM rotor and look to match that weight on any aftermarket rotor they choose....the lighter rotors warp much quicker as there is less metal to absorb the heat from braking
{ heat sink}.....same reason rotors warp much faster after been used and turned a few times. Centric Premium black hat rotors are a good choice in average replacement cost rotors- not cheap, but certainly not too expensive- check tirerack for cost for your car- for my Q45, they were priced lower than stock, and perform at least as well.

i'm sure they are, but you're not going to find a full set of 4 rotors for $20-40 anywhere.

I've been happy with NAPA's Premium line of rotors. Regardless of brand, TRY to get a set that are actually made in the USA instead of China or Venezuela.

The Chinese made Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors I bought had a MUCH better fit and finish than the North American made Raybestos equivalents they replaced.

Time will tell if the metallurgy is o.k.. With 30K, so far they are fine.

If your recommendation is aimed at supporting U.S. mfg., then disregard my comments.
