Need help on choosing oil

Hey everyone i need help for a mate of mine on what oil he should use.

The car is a 650cc 2 cylinder Original Fiat 500 1960's and will have a new engine put in.

The manufacture says to use any semi synthetic 15w 40 oil. He suggested Valvoline Engine Armour 15w 40.

But the engine is air cooled, no oil filter, high revving and lots of hot idling in city driving.What do you guys reconmend? What would be the best oil regardless of price?

Any HDEO 15w40 like Shell Rotella or Delo or Delvac. The Valvoline would be fine. A 20w50 motorcycle oil would probably work as well.

Just put 4T synthetic motorcycle oil, they have good extreme pressure additives to protect air cooled engine. Diesel oil with full SAPS is also OK, but it may not give fuel economy benefit.
