After veiweing many of the threads ive summarized that the orange cans of death are not the way to go for me and my vehicles.Yet the high price of oil filters where i live make it hard for me to get something else other wise. As an example ill show you what it costs to get filter for my malibu.

Napa Proselect $6.99
Quaker State $7.25
Napa Gold $13.75

There you have it at those prices its really hard not to resist fram or motomaster but after reasrching they dont seem to be the greatest.Does anyone know where one can get decently priced filters or if any one is being a kind soul and buying some and shipping them to me ( i will pay for both as i really need filters).

Your answer is fleetfilter.com who, iirc, has USPS setup for Canadian customers to avoid the UPS brokerage/customs fees. You HAVE to save a decent bit. If nothing more than in getting NG for the Proselect price.

In your case the orange can isn't a bad deal. It's appropriately priced to the competition.

Wix 51348 & Napa 1348 Oil Filter
Code: 51348
Price: $3.89

Just order enough for the extended fleet (air filters and whatnot too) to justify the postage.

Thank you Allan the prices are very good no idea on the shipping, but would be a good saving if i got a case of 12 no?

I added my shipping info but it says 3 for local pickup in Brenham Texas

Well, you don't have to order a case. Mix and match as you please (air filters, whatever) with a few family members. They do have the Canadian option at checkout. You can email them first just to make sure that Canadian orders are via USPS. I'm almost positive that they made this move. It's just been so long since it came up. Great folks there.

You'll either get Byran ..or ...Brian

I'm pretty sure that the $3/local (it says that always with all options for US overnight, 2 day, regular) since they don't have a UPS calculator setup for Canada. Just email them.

Apparently, the Motomaster is no longer a Fram clone. Same with the QS at Canadian Tire.

Another option is to see if there is a Motorcraft cross reference for your application. A Ford dealer may be able to sell you one at a decent price. They're reasonable at one of my local dealers, at least.

I believe someone cut one apart here and posted a picture of the new one, or at least told us about it. You could run a search, but from what I've read, they are much better than they used to be.

Yes, I believe that's what was indicated elsewhere.
well, this is indicated right on the filter (saw it just yesterday). :)

I would personally pay extra buck or two for QS...

Yes, that's available there, too. There is nothing wrong with the Motomaster, though, either. I don't buy filters there since I can get Wix for about $5 each for my F-150 and Mann, Mahle, and Bosch for my Audi at under $5 a piece elsewhere.

RockAuto has reasonable shipping to Canada too. Several good choices for filters, take your pick. I usually have some parts I need to order so I try to get a couple filters from the same warehouse for the best shipping rate.

fleetfilter.com is where im getting my oil/air filters. great prices and reasonable shipping if you buy in bulk

For Canadians it may be their last hope for bringing balance between the borders in regard to automotive filtration. You've got your choices. Fram being priced properly to the traditional competition, or China ..as Canada helps pitch in on paying our bills. They can't easily buy the $6-$8 retail WIX, but can get the import for slash/fire sale prices against their own domestic product.

Choose fleetfilter. Do it for U$ ..do it for yourself...

In many cases, that's true. I do like the Motorcraft filters and use them regularly. The local Ford dealership has good prices on them.

However, that doesn't apply to all Ford dealerships. Further, the only place to actually get them up in Canada is the Ford dealership.
