I just installed a set of Clazzio leather seat covers into the Prius. Per the manufacturer, these covers have uncoated, perforated leather seating inserts (with vinyl on all other areas).

I am looking for a leather conditioner to use on these seats. Many leather conditioners are of a white lotion like consistency, which could be problematic for the holes on the perforated surfaces.

Can anyone recommend a leather protectant that would be appropriate for uncoated leather, and does not leave white stuff in the holes? Based on my research, the only one that I have found is Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner.

Thanks!

Leather Masters sells various products for uncoated leather. Not cheap, but it's definitely a quality product.

I use "Redwing" boot oil on mine and five years later my leather looked like brand-new. I put it on once a year when it started to get warm out. Another good product is "Leatherique" leather rejuvenator". They sell it on Amazon.

Critic, since the leather has no protection on its surface you might want to try Collonite Saffire leather and vinyl wax. While it is a white liquid, judicious light applications should keep it from clogging the perforations.
I've used it for years on both plain and perforated leather with fantastic results. Currently using it on my wife's new Explorer which has the perforated leather - put it on lightly and it will be fine.

I like the Lexol leather conditioner product. And for protected leather I've used Lexol's Vinylex followed by a nice mf towel.

Leatherique is fantastic.

Rejuvenator is actually "backwards"...it's a conditioner you apply first. It forces all the contaminants to the surface, and you apply a cleaner AFTER. I use it once a year in all my cars and it literally makes the leather look newer. Wrinkles, creases, and other marks disappear. No joke.

I will have to consider this product next time, thanks.

I wanted to apply something on the covers right away, so I purchased some Meguiars Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner gel from WM. The part # is G17914, and it comes in a lotion bottle type dispenser with a pump.

The stuff is clear, so it did not stain the perforated holes. I did two treatments, and the uncoated leather inserts (and the vinyl in the surrounding areas) are significantly softer. I must say that I am fairly impressed with this product, and even more so considering that it was only $6.

Any before/after pics? I'd like to see how they look.

No before pics, but you can find a picture of a 2010-11 Prius on carmax with the misty grey interior.

Here are the after pics: http://priuschat.com/threads/installed-clazzio-seat-covers.128559/
