Need 16" Needle Nose Pliers

Need two 16" Long Needle Nose Pliers, one is straight and one is 45° Angle. There are few set of 4 pliers on Amazon. Don't know which one is better.

Garrett Wade has a pair of 16" Long Needle Nose Pliers for $26 plus $9.50 shipping. The price is good but the shipping is a little high.

The Snappy ones and the Mac ones are the only viable choice in such a long tool. The Chinese ones are not as strong and won't provide as good a grip. Ask me how I know...
 
The SNAP ON and MAC are hard to find at local stores. I don't know how much for a set of 2 SNAP ON pliers is, but found the price on MAC site at $44 for a set, plus shipping.

I agree with you guys and try not to buy Chinese tools as much as possible. I may go with MAC TOOLS set, assume that it is made in USA. I will email them and ask what is original country of the tool, to confirm that I'm not buying Chinese tool.

Yes please . . . email them and ask them the country of origin for set SP162 and let us know.

I did email them asking the country of origin of the set SP162. Waiting for their respond before decide to buy it. The total for the set after shipping will be $54, which is not bad if it's made in USA.
 
According to Snap On website, the 16" Long Needle Nose Pliers, straight part# BDG916CP and 45° Angle part# BDG91645CP, are made in China, very disappointed. So far only 16" pliers made in USA is KAL, and only 45° Angle part# BDG91645CP is available on UK eBay.

That sucks, for Snap On prices made in China? No thanks! If all I had to pick from was a Chinese tool I'd go to HF, and pay the HF price for a Chinese tool.

And they still are.

They've added some made in Spain adjustable wrenches, and a few made in China screwdrivers, but the pliers are all still made in the USA.
 
Didn't hear back from MAC TOOLS about country of origin of their pliers set. Garrett Wade didn't respond to the same question either.

Channel-Lock and HF don't have 16" Needle Nose Pliers. Checked local O'Reilly, Autozone and Pep Boys and none has it. Don't know if Lowe's or Home Depot have it or not.

AAP has it on their website, but none is in stock.

It seems to me that buying made in USA tools is difficult and very time consuming. I may have to buy what is available and hope that the quality isn't too bad.

The BDG91645CP and BDG916CP pliers you are looking at are Blue Point. Pretty much all the Blue Point tools are imported, so it's no surprise they're imported.

Perhaps you just couldn't find the long pliers in the Snap-On section. The site is hard to navigate, so that's understandable. I think these are all USA made.

I'd be extremely surprised if that SP162 set was not made in the U.S.A.
 
Sent second email to Mac Tools yesterday and still didn't hear from them, with this kind of customer services I gave up buying from them.

I bought 3 16" needle nose pliers from Ebay. One is straight, one is 20° Angle and one is 45° Angle for a total of $29 shipped. From the pictures they looks decent, I'll post my impression about these pliers when I get my hands on it and use it.
 
I couldn't care less about customer service as long as the tools are excellent. Those MAC pliers that are made by KAL Tools
are of excellent quality; I have some. I don't want to sound too personal, but I wish you would've had more patience.
 
What I mean is answering a simple question about country of origin of a tool set is not too much hassle. Asking that question on Oct-30 and then again on Nov-01, no respond at all until now. This to me is bad customer services, if they don't bother answer a simple question, what will happen if the tool failed later on ?

It's possible that those MAC 16" pliers were made by KAL Tools when you bought it a while ago, but I have no idea where are those pliers made now, it's possible they are made in China now.

I wish they could email me within 48 hours after I first asked about country of origin, I could buy it if it is made in USA. I tried to buy made in USA tools even at higher price, but I will not pay higher price for unknown country of origin.
