NAPA Proformer 27060MP C&P

NAPA Proformer 27060MP off my brothers 2016 Ram 1500 5.7 with 212,667 miles on it.

Around 6000 some miles on the filter I was told.

Looked fine, no issues I could see. Captured some sediment at the bottom of the can as it should.

Some shop bulk 5w20 was installed during last service when a local shop replaced the rusted leaky oil pan.

I replaced it with a Fram TG10060 and a mix of 5w20 Havoline Full Synthetic & Mobil 1.

Thanks. Do rams have a bypass in block or is he relying on what appears to be a combo valve on this can?

I try to stay away from what used to be WIX /NAPA "Pro-Select" due to the combo valve on many applications. Had one "fail" It was hard as a rock when I cut it.

Not sure, not my vehicle to be too concerned with.

Jobber Filter, atleast this one didn’t fail. I try to use good quality replacement filters on friends & family member vehicles.

Yeah, that's not a good "combo" on a combo valve.

Filter looks ok to me. I'm not seeing any combo valve on it. What I can see, looks like a standard nitrile adbv. Likely with standard dome bypass, just not shown in pics.
