I use it with iron decon to do two jobs at once. Decon the paint of iron particles AND clay the surface. Been using the medium yellow pad over a year now, maybe once or twice a month, and it doesn't seem to be pull up much from the paint. Even when it is dry, it used to stick to the plastic package but not any more. The surface of the mitt looks fine, it just doesn't work like before. Is it worn out? Can it be restored? They ain't cheap.

A lot of the iron decon products will damage clay mitts. When the clay mitt gets sticky, it is a sure sign that the material has been adversely affected by the chemicals you've used it with.
