Some pics of my new..vintage napa gold air filters I received from eBay! Fast shipping. It's for a 98 Buick LeSabre. One filter has 02 2008. The other one no date but both made in use. They feel smooth but look serviceable.no paper dust. Plan on using each filter 3 years and 18 to 24000 miles each. Thoughts like would anyone use these? I went with these because that itch for a good quality filter..but made by wix and USA!

Current filter is carquest premium 2022 put in.Has about 17-18,000 miles max.white media but has noticable black across it.not heavy black. Feeling the golds will filter way better than the carquest.
Cause,you guys are the experts.i could always return it if most here said nay to using them
Looks ok from pics. If you do decide to use it check on it once in a while if it's easily accessible. That's a 16 yr old filter so I'd error on the side of caution. A new foreign made filter would not have endured that age. I'd probably try it out.. I run 10+ year old oil filters, that hold up great, but never tried old air filters. Maybe you could give us some testing on these to see how they performed. It would be interesting to see how they held up with your mileage requirement. Yes, I'm sending you in first...

I'm using Rockauto closeout Fram air filters in my Trooper. The oldest one was made in '96. They're fine.
