You’re right about it happening to the Hemis too. It also happens to the 3.7s that Chrysler used to make. I understand that the 3.7 was just a 4.7 with 2 less cylinders. YouTube has lots of videos about this.
Every shop I went to months ago all were very familiar with the dropped seat issue in these engines because they saw a bunch of them. And yet I've read on Allpar.com of many trucks with these engines that went well over 200,000 miles. It wasn't my day I guess.
