I would like to apologize to all forum members for yesterday's post in which I accidentally misspelled Volvo. I was unaware of this, because I don't spell well and because I am dyslexic. I never wanted to upset anyone or make JH2HR believe I was jesting. From now on I will not post on the forums unless my wife or oldest son reviews and corrects my posts. I don't want to bother them all the time, which means I will probably not be posting all that much.

I would like to thank my lovely wife for proofreading this post!

If your browser underlines misspelled words there's probably a way to eliminate that other word from the dictionary.

I'm not offended, in fact, surprised it slipped past the censor.

I didnt read the post, but i dont think it is that big of a deal to misspell a word.

oil -- i didn't read said post, but we all make spelling/grammar mistakes, from time to time. the reason is irrelevant.PLEASE do not stop posting for this reason.in the grand scheme of things, spelling, grammar, and punctuation mean very little.getting your message across is what counts.if someone gives you flak about this -- put him on ignore.
p.s. -- i hope that you continue fishing(from the other thread).remember my Rx.have a good night, man, and good luck reducing your B.P.

This situation reminds me of the Seinfeld episode "The Junior Mint".

I replied to your original post yesterday and if my memory is correct you were asking for comments/opinions on the purchase of a Volvo station wagon(older model). We had 2 Volvos(a 1991 740 and a 1990 240) that were the worst cars we ever purchased. Our repair bills totaled $10,000 after only owning them for four years. Buy a Toyota or Honda; they are much better vehicles! In our family there is a joke that Volvos are the safest cars on the road, not because of their construction, but because they will not start and if they don't start then you will never be involved in an accident!
Today's moral: DON'T BUY A VOLVO.

I think that this post will help you clear up anything in future that might not be spelled right and get you into trouble as you have now offered an explanation.

I'm sure this was hard for you to post and I wanted to tell you that it takes a lot of courage to do so and there is no hard feelings on my part.

I found it funny.

I agree with this...Oilpants you worry way 2 much!!..You are way 2 nice!!!

DO NOT STOP OR SLOW DOWN ON YOUR POSTING because of this.

Sometimes I see something I want to reply to, but can only spare 30 seconds. So I just bash away at the keyboard and what you see is what you get.
I am also borderline Dyslexic, but I have found the Internet (and reasons to type, like BITOG) have helped me a great deal.

No critisisam from this part of Canada :-)
But I did once get roasted from a guy in Washington!

Oilpants:

Anyone with dyslexia has problems enough to worry about without having to apologize (even though I [we] didn't know you were). I didn't see your post either, but I'm guessing what it was. I should think it would have been a good laugh (probably at your expense) but only the wimpiest among us could have been seriously offended, especially now that we know how that happened. I enjoy your posts, so don't go all wishy-washy-wobbly-leggedly on us now.

Hold your head up high that you've compensated adequately and well for what dyslexia can do to a person's life. Keep'on, keep'n on!
