Using "MP3 Rocket" , torrents, etc to obtain music is illegal ...

I use Amazon to buy albums or individual songs.

I don't listen to music a lot on apple devices, so iTunes really isn't practical for me to buy music.

+1 and Spotify free (has ads, but better SQ than Amazon Prime)

+2... never noticed a difference in SQ though. Maybe it's my ears.

I buy music on mp3million.com. It is a legit site to purchase MP3's. You can buy individual songs for 8 or 9 cents each or you can get the entire album for 80 or 90 cents, some cost $1.20. Most of the content is at 320 kbps, some is 256 kbps, a few are lower but the sound quality is very good at a fraction of the cost from Amazon or Itunes.

MP3million gives you 2 free song downloads to try the service and they always run bonus deals where if you put $30.00 in your account you get $15.00 free, $25.00 free when you add $50.00, etc. All you need to start an account is a valid email address and a credit/debit card.

MP3million is great, they have tons of songs available in a lot of different genres. I just bought 6 albums last night, paid about $4.00 and they sound just like the CD. I put $30.00 in my account the other day, got $15.00 free and it will take me a long time to use that up.

That mp3million site is interesting -- this is the first I heard of it. I'll check it out, they even have new releases, which I wasn't expecting at those prices. Thanks, Jimmy!

On the rare, rare occasion I download a song off the net, which is usually when I lose a CD, I do it pretty old school, on IRC. I prefer to actually have the CD. I wish there were places selling CD .iso files online - legally of course - to make matters easier when trying to find something a little harder to obtain. ITunes isn't going to happen for me.

I feed an FM radio into my soundcard, record about 12 hours, then strip it down to what I like.
