Hi Guys.
I wanted to see if anyone had the same problem I do with mozilla firefox. Sometimes when I download, it will indicate that a download is in progress, but nothing gets downloaded.
Do I need to change certain settings?

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure its not just in the download manager, and its just not popping up on your screen?

I do no have Firefox installed but it has a download section you can get to from the menu options, and you may find that your downloads all show there.

Could be the setting of your download directory, check it. The download status bar is a nice extension. If you use the opendownload2 extension you can just "run" and install rather than download and install. another nice extension.

Leaky Seals how can I do this?
Quattro Pete, I am very unfamiliar with firefox
SL Craig, I dont know how to check.
I think what LeakySeals recommends is what I want to do so it pops up right away.

Thanks

LeakySeals,
Sorry for the lack of response.
I had a meeting last night and did not get on until now.
No, I do not have an orange tab in the top left corner.

Quattro Pete,
My problem is that my list never shows, meaning if I download something the list is always blank.

What can I do?

It sounds like your FF is configured to clear the download list as soon as items finish downloading.

Try this then. It'll tell you the location of your downloads folder on the hard drive:

On that tab, you will also be able to change the setting so that FF can ask you specifically where to save a file every time you start downloading something ("Always ask me where to save files").
