Hi all,
I was hoping somebody with a a bit of JASO T 903:2006 knowledge will be able to help me on this one.
I have looked and looked but can't find any information on how motorcycle oil frictional properties are measured.
I understand Motorcycle JASO oils are categorised into Grades MA, MA1, MA2 & MB from their frictional characteristics but what i'm struggling to find is information on how this oil friction is measured/tested?
Is there a piece of apparatus that is designed to test the following of a given oil sample?
Dynamic Friction Characteristic Index (DFI)
Static Friction Characteristic Index (SFI)
Stop Time Index (STI)
Thank you in advance.
