I've never been a big fan of syn blend oils mainly because what's the % of blend 🤔 not sure anybody but the chemist really know
But for a few more dollars there's lots of better oils to pick from

Motorcraft when it first became a blend it was IRC 50% group II/III it was blended like this to meet GF4 specs.

i think and correct me if im wrong that m1 is the better one out of castrol and volvoline or one is better in one area the mext is in another?i just want a strong reliable brand to go by once and for sll.did use the m1 for5years and my pipe of the cai was oily from its inside.maybe its a noack side effect?

IIRC all 5-20's have almost the same group 3, 5-30's are almost the same as each other. Thus a Conoco Phillips advertised as syn blend 5-30 will be closer to o conventional VWB 5-30 in group 3 than it will be to a CP 5-20. XOM basestocks excepted.

I posted something from Mobil a month or so ago. I'm remembering, so figures are slightly off. Let's assume making SN+ with 5-30 takes 42 percent Group 3. All oils of that weight require the same percentage. I'll try to rebook up my posting and repost here. It was from Mobil pushing their group 2.

no clogged valves and intake due to high noack?are u running the blend?maybe that ford wasnt under severe use?
so whats the point running full syn if thats the case is it all one big misleading?can a blend or even conventional give the same results if intervals are according to the manual?
tnx

That video talks about routine towing etc., so MC synblend 5w30 is all they needed. What's "wanted" is a different story. Bitog has a clean engine fetish so there's a lot of "want" associated with that.

From what I can tell, the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend is very close to Kendall GT-1 High Endurance Blend. Minus the Titanium.
