Is there any data on the content of this syn blend? It has such a great price it makes me wonder if it is mostly dino with a splash of Group III thrown in. It seems like a good oil but I wanted to get some more opinion and data. Thank you.

I tried to search in the VOA section but nothing came up. All I have is hearsay that it's almost 50% group III

. It does turn in very good UOA's for 5,000 runs so it must "doing something right". And at $2.08/qt at WallyWorld in the 5 qt container, everyday price, it's hard to beat

. I drive my 2002 F-150 about 5,000 miles per year so it works out fine with the Motorcraft filter. For me $5++++ synthetic oil would be overkill unless I changed every 18-24 months. Most of my miles are 10 mile trips on secondary roads with lights and traffic and the rest highway. So it's probably a good idea to change yearly at 5,000 miles with a good synthetic blend oil.

That sounds nice! I am just debating on MC over Mobil 1 and PP as the price difference is considerable. If MC would be adequate for 5k OCI then I may get the MC for price.

I wonder if the MC 5W-20 meets Chrysler and Honda standards as well. I could not find a data sheet that even showed that. Of course, it meets the Ford spec.

MC 5W-20 syn blend seems to be a bargain compared to other blends. I think it runs less than $3. I wonder why they would sell it less than their competitors.
